Yolanda "Jean" DiLeo

Mrs. Yolanda “Jean” Gujas DiLeo, 95, died Sunday, May 31, 2020 in the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway, New Jersey.

Mrs. DiLeo, the daughter of the late Ethel Hahod Gujas and the late Steve Gujas, was born in Perth Amboy, NJ and she resided in Linden for over 50 years before moving to Rahway 10 years ago.

Mrs. DiLeo was employed by the Linden Board of Education for almost 25 years.  She was the head of the Linden High School cafeteria workers until her retirement in 1990.

Mrs. DiLo was also very active in the Linden organizations, such as the AARP Chapter #1894 and the Senior Men & Women’s Club.  She was well known for her smile, her vibrancy and her love of participating in all their group activities.  In addition, Mrs. DiLeo was somewhat of a card shark and enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends, especially poker.  She was always caught up with the excitement of traveling, whether it be day trip close by or a longer stay at some resort experiencing new adventures. 

Mrs. DiLeo was predeceased by her husband, Joseph C. DiLeo on November 20, 1999.  She is survived by her two sons and her daughter-in-law; Joseph J. and Jackie DiLeo and Gary P. DiLeo.
