Rita H. Hough Lydell

Ms. Rita H. Hough Lydell, 71, died Wednesday, December 5, 2018 in the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Ms. Lydell, the daughter of the late Rita Sullivan Hough and the late John Hough, was born in Brooklyn, New York.  She lived in Battery Park City in Manhattan, New York City, New York for many year before settling in Linden, New Jersey in 1992.

Ms. Lydell worked in the financial industry, specifically investment banking, in New York City for twenty-five years for various financial firms and she retired from Drexell Burnham Lambert as a senior vice president in 1990.

Predeceased by her domestic partner, Ronald V. Lester, on August 23, 2017, Ms. Lydell is survived by her son, Brian S. Lydell and his wife, Gayle and her three grandchildren, Alex Lydell, Steven Lydell and Sydney Lydell.

In accordance with Ms. Lydell’s wishes, her cremation was private.
