Richard Fichner

Mr. Richard Fichner, 74, died Friday, October 19, 2018 in the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway, New Jersey.

Mr. Fichner, the son of the late Pauline Boczon Fichner and the late Walter Fichner, was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, where he resided for many years before moving to Linden, New Jersey in 1995.

Mr. Fichner was employed as a postal worker for the U.S. Postal Services, working at the main Post Office on Broad Street in Elizabeth, New Jersey for thirty years prior to retiring in 2002.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War era, serving in the U.S Army.

Mr. Fichner is survived by several cousins and friends.

In accordance with Mr. Fichner’s wishes, he was privately cremated at Rosehill Crematory in Linden, New Jersey.  His cremains will be inurned in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, New Jersey.
