Michael Kuzma, Sr.

Mr. Michael Kuzma, Sr. 59, died Tuesday, October 27, 2020 in the UMDNJ-University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey after injuries sustained by a pedestrian/vehicular accident.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation which will be held in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Monday, November 2^nd. from 6:00 – 8:00PM.  The cremation in Rosehill Crematory in Linden and the committal service followed by the inurnment of Michael’s cremains in his family niche in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, will be private for the family only.  We are asking everyone to please omit flowers.  Donations may be made to the family via Michael’s GoFundMe.com account http://gf.me/u/y6qtmy or by mailing or delivering checks directly to the funeral home. 

Michael, the son of the late Julia Itz Kuzma and the late Walter M. Kuzma, Sr., was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey and he spent most of his life residing in both Elizabeth and Linden, New Jersey.

Michael had many interests in his life.  From early childhood he loved to tinker with anything electronic, taking devices apart and putting them back together.  Michael relished watching the NY Mets baseball team and listening to rock music.  He loved the outdoor adventures of camping and fishing and for indoors, he enjoyed the sport of bowling.  Michael also like to dabble in the kitchen with casual cooking.  However, the first thought that everyone has about Michael is that he had a loving soul and a kind, generous heart.

Michael is survived by his wife of twenty-one years, Karen Cucciniello Kuzma; his four children, Michael Kuzma, Jr., Walter Kuzma, Timothy Kuzma and Jake Kuzma; his step-son, Craig Masker Jr.; his three sisters, Judith A. Smith, Joan Damiano and her husband, Alan and Dolores Geletei and her husband, Joseph; his granddaughter, Tiffany Rose; his several nieces and nephews and his many friends and neighbors.

As per the regulations imposed through the State of New Jersey, face protection is required.  We thank you for your understanding during this time of transition.
