Marian Stenko

Mr. Marian Stenko, 56, died Saturday, June 20, 2020 in the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway, New Jersey.

Visitation will be held in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Wednesday, June 24^th. from 4:00-7:00PM.  There will be a funeral prayer service offered in the funeral home that evening at 5:00PM by the Reverend Mariusz Luksza from Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Linden.  The cremation in Rosehill Crematory, Linden, will be private.  The family asks that you please omit flowers.

Marian, the son of the late Anna Mochnacova Stenkova and the late Mikulas Stenko, was born in Michalovce, Slovakia.  He visited the United States a few times and then in 2003, Marian returned with his family, settling in Linden, New Jersey.

Marian was a roofer, by trade and worked for a few different companies, along the way.  He was currently employed by S & S Roofing, Inc. of Carteret, New Jersey.

Marian’s best fur buddy was his dog, Ozzy, who was named after Ozzy Osbourne.  This naming was not unexpected, as Marian loved heavy metal music and was a collector of vinyl.  Marian also appreciated the beauty of antiques, especially clocks and pictures, that he enjoyed displaying in his home.  As his family and friends can attest to, Marian was a big Trump supporter.

In addition to his parents, Marian was also predeceased by his brother, Vladimir Stenko.

Marian is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Bozena Besedicova Stenkova; his son, Robert Stenko and his fiancé, Michelle Westervelt; his daughter, Erika Stenkova and her boyfriend, Kevin Carter; his brother, Miroslav Stenko and his many friends, neighbors and co-workers.

As per the regulations imposed through the State of New Jersey, there will now be a maximum of 50 persons allowed in the funeral home at one time.  Face protection is also required as per state regulations.  We thank you for your understanding during this time of transition.
