Margaret "Midge" Hutton

Mrs. Margaret “Midge” Hutton, 77, of Winfield Park, passed away at Overlook Hospital on May 26th, 2022.

We respectfully request that no one arrive at the funeral home prior to the posted visitation times, so as not to intrude on the family’s private time.

Friends and family are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 1st, 2022 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM, and Thursday, June 2nd, 2022 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery on Thursday June 2nd, 2022 at approximately 11:30AM.

Midge was born on December 12th, 1944 to Raymond and Ellen Sass in Elizabeth, NJ. She spent most of her life in Winfield Park, at a few different residencies. She married her loving husband Vaughn Lendzion on November 10, 2002. Midge was mostly known for, and most proud of, owning Midge’s Driftwood Inn, on Wood Avenue in Linden. She wore many hats there, as owner, bartender, and sometimes even as a bouncer. Midge loved bowling, and was involved in a few leagues in her younger years. She also loved gathering with friends and playing cards, or playing “Bunco,” and spending time in the Buckle Senior Center in Winfield playing bingo. Midge was always a bright soul, and spread joy to those around her. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Margaret is predeceased by her parents Raymond and Ellen Sass, as well as her brother Raymond Sass Jr.

Midge is survived by her caring husband of 20 years Vaughn Lendzion, her children Tracy and her husband Gary, and James, her grandchildren Nicole, Brianna and Anthony, her sister Ellen Newhard, her sister in law Liz Sass, her brother in law Denny Lendzion, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A light from our household is gone, a voice we loved is stilled, a place is vacant in our home, which never can be filled.

We miss you now, our hearts are sore, as time goes by we miss you more, your loving smile, your gentle face, no one can take our “Midge’s place.”
