Ms. Madeleine Wainwright, 83, died Tuesday, May 3, 2022, in her home, surrounded by her family’s love and dedicated care.
We respectfully ask that all visitors do not arrive before 9:00AM, so as not to intrude on the family’s private time.
Additionally no picture taking of any kind will be allowed in the funeral home.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Tuesday, May 10th. from 9:00-11:00AM and a Sharing of Memories will start at 10:00AM. At the conclusion of the visitation, there will be a prayer service in the funeral home offered by the clergy from Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary/Saint Michael’s Roman Catholic Church of Elizabeth. We will then form the traditional procession to Rosehill Cemetery in Linden where the priest will conduct the prayers of committal prior to Madeleine’s burial in the family plot. Please omit flowers. Madeleine, the daughter of the late Andrise Jean Simon and the late Alexandre Wainwright, was born in Port au Prince, Haiti. She resided in Brooklyn, New York for thirty years before relocating to Staten Island, New York twenty-three years.
An educated woman and a graduate of nursing school, Madeleine provided home health care for many places and people throughout her career.
In her free time, Madeleine loved to listen to classical music and was known to have quite a collection of classical records. She was always on the look out to purchase additional classical recordings that she could add to her portfolio. Madeleine was a stickler for cleanliness, and she was constantly cleaning her home. She was also a deeply religious person and Madeleine enjoyed going to and participating in the services at her church.
Madeleine is survived by her three sons, Anthony Georges, Patrick Jude Georges, and Claude Anthony Jeudy; her grandson, Khalid Jeudy; her five granddaughters, Aiasiaah Oni Jeudy, Rebecca Madjena Georges, Isabella Georges, Careecia Prud’homme and Breanne Jeudy; her two great grandchildren, Kathaida and Isaiah Jeudy; her daughters-in-law, Sheryl, Cassandra, Sandra, Selima, Ife and Fatimah and her paramour, Jean Claude Jeudy.
Madeleine was the beating heart and soul of her family, and she shared her love for everyone, whether they be family or friend. Madeleine will be deeply missed, but she will never be forgotten.
