Mr. Jerzy Kowalik, 67, died Monday, November 16, 2020 in the Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
On Tuesday, November 24th. between 9:45AM and 10:00AM, family and friends are invited to gather directly at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus R.C. Church, Linden, where a funeral mass will be offered at 10:00AM. Following the mass, the prayers of committal will precede Mr. Kowalik’s burial in the family plot in Rosedale Cemetery in Linden, New Jersey.
Mr. Kowalik, the son of the late Celina Brzezinski Kowalik and the late Czeslaw Kowalik, was born in Lomza, Poland. He came to the United States in 1981 and immediately settled in Linden, New Jersey.
Mr. Kowalik was a maintenance man for the City of Linden, working in both the Recreation Department, as well as the Public Works Department for eighteen years, prior to his retirement two years ago.
Mr. Kowalik’s passion was fishing, in all seasons and all temperatures, in both fresh water and salt water. He also liked to relax by watching old time western movies.
Mr. Kowalik is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Urszula Wilk Kowalik; his four children, Zbigniew Kowalik and his wife, Anna, Joanna Kowalik, Marek Kowalik and Thomas Kowalik; his brother, Ryszard Kowalik and his wife Barbara and his two granddaughters.
As per the regulations imposed through the State of New Jersey, face protection is also required as per state regulations. We thank you for your understanding during this time of transition.
