Private services will be held for Mrs. Isabel Vera Briscese, 74, who died Sunday, July 5, 2020 in her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Briscese, the daughter of the late Maria Florida Vera and the late Apolinario Vera, was born in Cruz Machado, Parana, Brazil. Together with her husband, Mrs. Briscese came to the United States in 1964. She resided in South River, New Jersey for four years, before settling in Somerset, New Jersey fifty-two years ago.
Mrs. Briscese’s passion in life could be found in her extraordinary gardening abilities. She was blessed with showing off her green thumbs in both her flower and vegetable gardens. Of course, it would follow that with all that homegrown food, Mrs. Briscese’s cooking skills would also be legendary. She loved to prepare meals for both family and friends alike.
Mrs. Briscese is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Pasquale Briscese; her two sons, Joseph Briscese and his wife, Kathleen and Walter Briscese; her daughter, Marlene Wooldridge; her two brothers, Vito Vera and Cide Vera; her two sisters, Araci Vera and Irene Vera and her eight grandchildren.
