Florence (Zamorski) Pentol

Mrs. Florence Zamorski O’Neill Pentol, 89, died Tuesday, November 17, 2020 in the Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, New Jersey.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation which will be held in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Monday, November 23^rd. from 8:30AM – 10:00AM.  At 10:00AM there will be a prayer service and a celebration of Florence’s life in the funeral home, followed by the funeral mass to be offered in St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Linden at 11:00AM.  The prayers of committal will precede her burial in the family plot in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Linden, New Jersey.

Mrs. Pentol, the daughter of the late Helena Fortuna Zamorski and the late Kajetan Zamorski was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey.  She grew up and lived in Linden, New Jersey for many years before moving to Jersey City, New Jersey, where she spent some time before settling in Belleville, New Jersey in 1962.

Mrs. Pentol was a secretary in the banking industry for a number of  years prior to earning her enjoyable retirement.

She spent her newly found free time doing good for her city of Belleville.  Mrs. Pentol served on the Library Board and the Rent Leveling Board.  She was the treasurer for both the Senior Citizen’s Friday Club and the Concerned Citizens of Belleville.  Mrs. Pentol was also a poll worker for her local Board of Elections for many years.

She was predeceased by her two husbands, John “Jack” O’Neill and Chester Pentol, as well as her eight brothers and sisters; Stanley Zamorski, baby Tadeusz Zamorski, Kazmiera Zamorski, Rozalia Filipski, Augustina Obara, Joseph Zamorski, Henry “Bucky” Zamorski and Grace Zamorski. 

Mrs. Pentol is survived by her brother, Tadeusz “Teddy” Zamorski; her twin sister, Helen Banko; her many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, friends, and neighbors.

As per the regulations imposed through the State of New Jersey, face protection is also required as per state regulations.  We thank you for your understanding during this time of transition.
