Edward A Skwirz

Mr. Edward A. Skwirz, 70, died Friday, January 14, 2022, in the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Thursday, January 20^th. from 5:00-8:00PM.  On Friday, January 21^st. at 9:45AM, everyone will gather directly at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Linden, where a mass will be offered at 10:00AM.  The prayers of committal will precede Mr. Skwirz’s burial in the family plot in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Linden, New Jersey.

Mr. Skwirz, the son of the late Stanislawa Lesniak Skwirz and the late Jozef Skwirz, was born in Rzeszow, Poland.  He immigrated to the United States in 2006 and he lived in Linden, New Jersey before settling in Avenel, New Jersey four years ago.

Mr. Skwirz was employed as a maintenance man for the Rosedale & Rosehill Cemetery Association in Linden, New Jersey for three years prior to this retirement eleven years ago.

He made the most of his spare time by enjoying the sport of freshwater fishing, reading books and periodicals and he was always looking for a good crossword puzzle to work on.

Edward is survived by his son, Marcin Skwirz and his wife, Agnieszka “Ala”; his three grandchildren, Dominick Skwirz, Angelica Skwirz and Konrad Skwirz; his neighbors, former co-workers, and friends.

Time spent with his family, whether for holidays or everyday events meant the world to Edward.  He will be missed by all those who loved him.
