Diodama A. Gutierrez

Mrs. Diodama A. Baez Gutierrez, 62, died Monday, November 21, 2022, in the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey surrounded by the love of her family and the wings of the angels.

We respectfully request that no one arrive at the funeral home prior to the posted visitation times, so as not to intrude on the family’s private time. 

Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Saturday, November 26^th. from 12:00Noon-5:00PM.  During the visitation there will be numerous prayers and a formal prayer service offered, along with a sharing of memories.  The cremation in Rosehill Crematory in Linden, New Jersey will be private.

Mrs. Gutierrez, the daughter of Lidia Soto Baez and the late Julio Baez, was born in Bani in the Dominican Republic.  She came to the United States on November 17, 1990 and Mrs. Gutierrez lived in the Bronx, New York City, New York prior to moving to Linden, New Jersey in May of 2016.

Mrs. Gutierrez was employed by the Marriott Hotel Corporation for thirty years as a housekeeper in the Marriot Downtown, located in lower Manhattan, New York City, New York.

In her spare time, Mrs. Gutierrez enjoyed the peacefulness of gardening and was known to have quite a green thumb as she tended to both her floral and vegetable gardens.  Her tomatoes alone made all the neighbors envious of her abilities.  Mrs. Gutierrez also enjoyed a neat game of dominos and liked to try her hand at various card games.  Most of all, she was a lady who always looked on the positive side of life and like to share a joke with everyone and simply be happy.  All you had to do was to meet Mrs. Gutierrez one time and you instantly had a friend for life.  She was always interested in what you were doing and sharing her time and making memories with you. 

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Gutierrez is survived by her husband of forty-two years, Rafael A. Gutierrez; her son, Carlos Gutierrez; her two daughters, Madelin Gutierrez and her longtime companion, Rigoberto Inoa and Ana Gutierrez; her two grandsons, Gohan Inoa and Maximus Inoa and her five sisters, Julia Baez, Ramona Baez, Nurys Baez, Ligia Baez and Santa Alcantara.

Diodama was the center of life for her family, and she had an abundance of love for everyone in her circle.  She will be deeply missed, but Diodama will never be forgotten.
