Catherine “Cathy” T. Dzurak Jamiolkowski

Mrs. Catherine “Cathy” T. Dzurak Jamiolkowski, 90, died Tuesday, September 25, 2018 in her home, surrounded by her loving family and neighbors. 

Visitation will take place in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle St., Linden, on Sunday, September 30^th. from 6:00 – 8:00PM.  On Monday, October 1^st. at 9:45AM, family and friends are asked to gather directly at St. Theresa R.C. Church, Linden where a funeral mass will be offered at 10:00AM.  Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.

Mrs. Jamiolkowski, the daughter of the late Elizabeth Miko Dzurak and the late Michael Dzurk, was born in Bayonne, New Jersey.  She lived in Elizabeth, New Jersey for twenty-five years, followed by a move to Roselle, New Jersey for a few years, before settling in Linden, New Jersey.

Mrs. Jamiolkowski was an accountant in the finance division of the international department of the Schering-Plough Corp. in Kenilworth, New Jersey for twenty-five years until her retirement in 1990.

She was a Eucharistic Minister, a master pierogi maker and a long time picnic worker, all at St. Theresa R.C. Church, Linden, a member of the Third Order of Dominicans, as well as, a member of the St. Joseph the Carpenter R.C. Church Choir in Roselle.  In her spare time, Mrs. Jamiolkowski enjoyed cooking, sewing, decorating and traveling.  Everyone who came in contact with Mrs. Jamiolkowski knew that the most important thing in her life was her Catholic faith and she let those people close to her know that she felt “very blessed” with her life.

Predeceased by her husband, Stanley W. Jamiolkowski in 1982 and her brother, William Dzurak, Mrs. Jamiolkowski is survived by her two sisters, Mary Ann Noll and Margaret Latawiec; her many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
