Mrs. Mary I. Szutie Lesniak, 96, died Wednesday, December 12, 2018 in her home, surrounded by love.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation to be held in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden, New Jersey on Monday, December 17^th. from 10:00AM to 12:00 Noon.  At 12:00 Noon, there will be a prayer service conducted by the Reverend Bryan Wolf in the funeral home, followed by the prayers of committal in the Chapel of Roses in Rosedale Cemetery in Linden, New Jersey.

Mrs. Lesniak, the daughter of the late Irene Kochan Szutie and the late Michael Szutie, was born in Jersey City, New Jersey.  She lived in Elizabeth, New Jersey prior to settling in Linden, New Jersey sixty-five years ago.

Mrs. Lesniak was a parishioner of St. Hedwig’s Roman Catholic Church in Elizabeth, New Jersey for seventy years.  She was also a member of the Polish Legion of American Veteran, Post 91 in Linden, New Jersey.

Mrs. Lesniak was predeceased by her husband, Raymond J. Lesniak on April 18, 2003; her daughter, Eileen J. Rosenberg on May 5, 2012; Mrs. Lesniak’s twin sister, Katherine “Kay” Szutie on June 15, 2014 and her brother, Edward Suto.

Mrs. Lesniak is survived by her son, Kenneth Lesniak and his wife, Kathryn; her sister, Lee Bourdo; her three grandchildren, Julie Bailey and her husband, Kevin, Beth Khizver and her husband, Alex and Scott Lesniak and her great grandchild, Grace Bailey.
