Joan Noon Palay
Mrs. Joan Noon Palay, 58, died suddenly on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 in the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway, New Jersey.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Friday, December 21st. from 4:00-8:00PM. On Saturday, December 22nd. from 9:30-10:00AM everyone will gather in the funeral home where a prayer service will be held at 10:00AM, followed by the funeral mass to be offered in St. John the Apostle R.C. Church, Linden at 11:00AM. The prayers of committal will precede her burial in the family plot in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Linden, New Jersey.
Joan, the daughter of the late Elizabeth Zelinsky Noon and the late Michael J. Noon, Sr., was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey and she resided there before settling in Linden, New Jersey twenty years ago.
Joan was an administrative assistant for Infineum in Linden, New Jersey for fourteen years.
Joan was very active in the environment and activities of her son’s schools; first, St. John the Apostle Grammar School in Linden, and then second, being a member of the Roselle Catholic High School Mother’s Club.
Predeceased by her husband, Michael Palay, Jr. on November 28, 2009, Joan is survived by her son, Michael Palay; her two brothers, Michael J. Noon, Jr. and his wife, Maryann and Donald Noon; her two sisters, Janice Shannon and her husband, Hank and Donna King and her husband, James; her eight loving nieces and nephews, Michael Noon III, Elizabeth Shannon, Jordan King, Katherine King, Emily King, James King, Benjamin Noon and Ethan Noon; her mother-in-law, Theresa Gergich Palay and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Therese and Albert Teglash.
