Florence LaTorraca

Florence LaTorraca, also known as Nanny, Cioci, and Flossie, at 96 years of age, passed peacefully into that sweet night on Sunday, June 30, 2019.  Florence lived her life with patience, fortitude and grace and she was always there to help anyone in need, giving whatever she could, where she could.

Ever the consummate home maker Florence loved to cook and bake for her family and friends and always set an elegant table for the holidays and other special occasions.  She enjoyed hosting impromptu get togethers, especially on New Year’s Eve, Memorial Day and the 4^th. of July,  with the friends that she made over the years at the Golden Age Towers in Rahway, New Jersey.  Florence never forgot anyone’s special day and always sent a card of good wishes.

Florence, the daughter of the late Rosalia Danielewicz Faldzinski and the late Stanley Faldzinski, was born in Linden, New Jersey where she resided for most of her life before settling in Rahway, New Jersey over twenty years ago.

Florence worked as an electrical components assembler for Plessey Dynamics Corporation in Hillside, New Jersey for twenty years and she retired twenty-five years ago.

The last remaining member of her family, Florence was predeceased by her seven brothers and sisters; Adam Faldzinski, Estelle Huss, Charles Falda, Frances Futyma, Stanley Faldzinski, Frank Faldzinski and Helen Boczon and her daughter; Patricia LaTorraca Hoban.

Florence will be remembered and sorely missed by those she loved and knew her the best and loved her in return; her granddaughter, Payton Hoban and her wife, Rachel; her grandson, Paul Hoban; her former son-in-law, Paul Hoban; her nieces, Rosemary Robbins and her husband, Jack, Janice Carroll and Susan Londino and her nephew Joseph Boczon and his wife, Barbara.

In respect of Florence’s wishes, she will be privately cremated.
