I knew Steve in my teens. We were great friends for that short seemingly important time in one’s life. I recall the day Steve enlisted in the Marines & the day he returned from Vietnam Nam. Steve graciously shared his Marine & Vietnam Nam experience with me...and how he changed as a person. We went our separate ways as many young people do. Over the decades, I thought of Steve & never acted. The Ken Burns documentary caused me to pause & try to engage. I am sorry to see the loss of this fine person. I only knew Steve a short time...but it was part of my foundation.

I can now only imagine what a fine man Steve was throughout life. I offer my kindness, compassion & love to the family. Steve was awesome.
