Leonora “Lillian” Jasket Micek
Mrs. Leonora “Lillian” Jasket Micek, 94, died Sunday, May 7, 2017 in the Rose Mountain Care Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Visitation will take place in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle St., Linden, on Wednesday, May 10th. from 6:00 – 8:00PM. On Thursday, May 11th. at 8:30AM, family and friends are ask to gather in the funeral home where a prayer service will be held at 9:00AM, followed by the funeral mass to be offered in St. Elizabeth R.C. Church, Linden at 10:00AM. Burial will take place in the family plot in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.
Mrs. Micek, the daughter of the late Katherine Wozniak Jasket and the late Andrew Jasket, was born in Jersey City, New Jersey. She lived in Linden, New Jersey for sixty years before relocating to New Brunswick in November of 2014.
Mrs. Micek was a member of the Rosary/Altar Society of St. Elizabeth R.C. Church, as well as, a member of the Mothers Club of the Boy Scouts, a troop leader for the Girl Scouts, a member of the School #1 PTA and an active member of the John T. Gregorio Senior Citizens Club, all of Linden.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter A. Micek in 1998 and her son, Michael W. Micek in 2011.
Mrs. Micek is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy Micek Trembley and her husband, Thomas and Dr. Laura Micek-Galinat and her husband, Jeffrey and her four grandchildren, Dianna Katherine Micek, Thomas Walter Trembley, Dana Nancy Trembley and Justin Patrick Trembley.
