Mrs. Elizabeth “Betty” J. Thompson Ushock, 88, died Saturday, December 17, 2016 in her home, surrounded by her beloved family.

Visitation will take place in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle St., Linden, on Friday, December 23^rd. from 8:00 – 10:00AM.  At 10:00AM there will be a prayer service offered in the funeral home, followed by the interment service to take place at 1:00PM in the chapel of the Brigadier General William C, Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown.

Mrs. Ushock, the daughter of the late Sarah Steele Thompson and the late Walter Thompson, was born in Shennandoah, Pennsylvania.  In 1954, Mrs. Ushock moved to Elizabeth, New Jersey where she resided for thirty-seven years before making her home in Linden twenty-five years ago.

Mrs. Ushock was a member of the Linden Retired Men‘s Club, where they all lovingly referred to Betty as “the best dressed one there”.

Predeceased by her husband, Daniel Ushock in 1993, Mrs. Ushock is survived by her son, William M. Ushock; her daughter, Sherry T. Bober and her husband, Leon; her six grandchildren and her five great grandchildren.
