Stephen W. Kralovich

Mr. Stephen W. Kralovich, 66, died Tuesday, October 18, 2016, in the John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey, surrounded by his loving family.

Visitation will take place in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle St., Linden, on Friday, October 21^st. from 4:00 – 8:00PM.  The cremation on Saturday, October 22^nd. in Rosehill Crematory, Linden, New Jersey will be private.

Stephen, the son of the late Wendel J. Kralovich and the late Mary Saas Kralovich, was born in Manhattan, New York City, New York.  He moved to Linden, New Jersey when he was two years old.   Stephen was enriched by his Linden community, as he went to school, worked, married and raised his family in our town.

Stephen was a payroll supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service, working in the main Post Office on North Wood Avenue in Linden for twenty nine years, until his retirement in 2002. .  After the Post Office, Stephen went to work for the Westfield Y.M.C.A. in 2003 and eventually became their sports coordinator.  His  retirement from the Westfield Y.M.C.A. was in 2015.

Stephen was an ASA baseball umpire for five years, during which time he acted as the umpire for baseball games in which middle school and high school students participated. 

Stephen was also a veteran of the Viet Nam War.  He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and reached the rank of sergeant.

Stephen is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Anita M. Munkacsy Kralovich; his son and daughter-in-law, Stephen W. Kralovich II and Jennifer Kralovich and his two brothers, Wendel T. Kralovich and Joseph Kralovich.
