Winston Fitzroy Leslie

Mr. Winston Fitzroy Leslie, 87, of Brooklyn, New York entered the arms of the Lord, surrounded by His heavenly angels on Saturday, September 30, 2023 in the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Private funeral services were held for Winston including his cremation at Rosehill Crematory, Linden and the inurnment of his cremains in the family niche in Rosedale Cemetery, both in Linden, New Jersey.

Winston was born in Jamaica, the third largest island county of the West Indies in the Caribbean Sea, and he spent his earlier, formative years in Kingston, Jamaica.  During the 1970’s he arrived in Brooklyn , New York, where he has lived and worked since then.

Winston was a factory worker for many years at Arrow Linen in Brooklyn, New York, which was a company specializing in linen cleaning.

Over the years, Winston enjoyed his visits back to Jamaica where he spent time with his family and friends going on many boat rides for Caribbean fetes or parties.

Winston is survived by his granddaughter, Rebecca Murray, his grandson, Steven Richman and his many neighbors and friends.

Winston was a loving; respectful man and it was always a pleasure to be in his company.  Winston’s memory will be cherished forever, and he will never be forgotten.
