Mrs. Willie Joyce Pacheco, 74, died Monday, January 10, 2022, in her home surrounded by love.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Monday, January 17th. from 3:00-7:00PM. During the visitation at 4:30PM, there will be a religious service shared by Pastor Michelle Dixon of the Glorious Hope Baptist Church of Elizabeth. On Tuesday, the prayers of committal prior to Mrs. Pacheco’s burial in the family plot in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, will be private.
Mrs. Pacheco was born in Telfair, Georgia. She lived in Newark and Elizabeth, both in New Jersey prior to settling in Roselle, New Jersey in 2001.
A gifted and educated lady, Mrs. Pacheco was employed by the State of New Jersey at the Woodbridge Developmental Center in Avenel, New Jersey for thirty-one years and she earned her retirement on December 1, 2011.
After her retirement, the “world became her oyster”. She and her husband, Daniel, did everything they could to simply enjoy life. They loved to travel all over, spend time at the beach, and went out to the movies. She even took great pleasure in the simple act of reading. Mrs. Pacheco’s dream was just to be out and about with her husband and those she loved and spend time doing fun things.
Mrs. Pacheco is survived by her husband of twenty years, Daniel E. Pacheco, Jr.; her three children, Darren Troupe, Mechelle Troupe Roberson, Tony Troupe and his wife, Chandra; her two step-daughters, Olga Gavilanes and her husband, Edgar and Danery Pacheco; her fifteen grandchildren, Laibeara Troupe, Darren Troupe, Jr., De’Juan Troupe, Rodney Horne, Anisha Troupe, Shadae Roberson, Amber Roberson, Marshall Roberson, Tauren Troupe, Tony Troupe, Jr., Elisha Troupe, Leilani Troupe, Christopher Carswell, Whitney Troupe and Jaquetta Graham; her three step-grandchildren, Gabriela Cawley and her husband, Christopher, Logan Gavilanes and Brandon Gavilanes; her fourteen great grandchildren; her two step great grandchildren and her niece, Kemetta Robinson.
Mrs. Pacheco was the core of her family, and she was also very spiritual in her Baptist faith. She will be missed by the many people that she loved and cared for, because she was definitely one of a kind.
