Walter H Skuriat

Walter (Wladyslaw) H. Skuriat, 62, of Avenel, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at his home with his family by his side.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden, NJ,  on Tuesday, August 24th.  from 10:00-10:30AM.  The prayers of committal by the clergy from St. Theresa of the Child Jesus R.C. Church, Linden  will be offered in the chapel mausoleum in St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, at 11:30AM, followed by Walter's entombment in the family crypt.

Walter was born on August 11, 1959 in Gdansk, Poland, to Wanda Piotrowska Skuriat and Jozef Skuriat.  His family immigrated to the United States when Walter was about 8 years old, and they resided in Roselle, New Jersey, followed by living in Linden, New Jersey for 28 years before settling in Avenel, New Jersey.

Walter was very close with his family, especially his brothers, as they were growing up, as well as, into adulthood.

Walter is predeceased by his brother, Joseph Skuriat.  He is survived by his mother Wanda Piotrowska Tusznio; his step father Miroslaw Tusznio; his brother Casmir (Charlie) Skuriat and his 4 nieces and nephews.
