Victor Hrudowsky, Jr. Obituary

Victor (Vic) Hrudowsky, Jr., 84, went to be with God peacefully on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, surrounded by his family.

Vic, the son of the late and Eva Matrunich Hrudowsky and the late Victor Hrudowsky, Sr., was born and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey and he was a long-time resident of Carteret, New Jersey.  Vic and his wife, Mary Ann (Evan) Hrudowsky later moved to Chesapeake, Virginia where they have resided for the last 28 years.

Vic was employed for over 39 years for S.E. & M. Vernon Inc. in Elizabeth, New Jersey where he progressed to become the Plant Manager.  Vic was a Quality Assurance Inspector at STIHL, Inc. in Virginia Beach, Virginia for 10 years before retiring in 2007.

As a devout Catholic, Vic was a former parishioner of the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Linden, New Jersey, and a member its’ Holy Name Society and Parish Council.  Victor was a current parishioner of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Chesapeake, Virginia and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #8240, and the Grand Group.

Vic is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Ann, their four children and nine grandchildren; son, Victor Hrudowsky III and his wife, Sarah of Lavallette, New Jersey, and their children, Scott and his wife, Chelsea, Erica and Michael Hrudowsky; daughter, Janet Marie McCarthy of Virginia Beach, Virginia and her children, Brian and Jessica McCarthy; daughter, Carol Ann Wilson and her husband, Ernest Wilson of Old Bridge, New Jersey and their children, Heather and Connor Wilson; and son, Nicholas John Hrudowsky of Virginia Beach, Virginia and his children, Blair and Blake Hrudowsky and their mother, Michelle Hrudowsky; his sister, Audrey Adolph (deceased) and her husband, Harold Adolph of Colonia, New Jersey; his aunt, Ann Kovtun (deceased) and her husband, John (deceased) of Linden, New Jersey and numerous nieces, nephews and several godchildren.

The funeral mass will be held at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 621 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, Virginia 23322 on June 26th at 1:00p.m.  The funeral mass will be live streamed for those that cannot be in attendance. [Livestream Mass: Facebook  http://facebook.com/4046926015415031

On Monday, June 28th. at 12:45PM, family and friends are asked to gather directly at the gravesite in Rosehill Cemetery, 792 East Edgar Road (aka/ Route 1 & 9 North) in Linden, New Jersey where the prayers of committal will be offered at 1:00PM by the Reverend Mariusz Luksza of the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church of Linden, followed by Vic's burial in the family plot.
