Mr. Tito Venegas Reyes, 77, entered the heavenly kingdom of the Lord on Thursday, January 18, 2024.
We respectfully request that no one arrive at the funeral home prior to the posted visitation times.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Monday, January 22nd. from 8:00AM-12:00Noon. Immediately following the visitation, the prayers of the committal will precede Tito’s burial in the family plot in Rosedale Cemetery, Linden, New Jersey.
Tito, the son of the late Cecilia Reyes and the late Maximo Venegas, was born in Lima, Peru. He came to the United States in 1990 and he has resided in Elizabeth., New Jersey for thirty-four years.
Tito was employed in the maintenance department of Cleo Cosmetics, Inc. in Hackensack, New Jersey for sixteen years before earning his well-deserved retirement in 2015.
Throughout his life, Tito loved music, especially the singers Daniel Santos and Celia Cruz, as well as the musical groups, Sonora Matancera and Los Compadres. He enjoyed playing soccer and of course he was an avid fan of the sport. Tito loved to watch all the matches and his favorite team was Alianza Lima. Even with all these interests, the most important part of Tito’s life was his family. He loved them with all his heart and soul and any time spent with them gave him the greatest joy in life.
Tito is survived by his wife, Alicia Esperanza Farfan Venegas; his four children, Jose A. Venegas and his wife, Elizabeth R. Meneses, Oswaldo Venegas, Tito Venegas, Jr., Orlando Venegas and his wife, Barbara Torres; his ten grandchildren, Estefany Venegas, Joann Venegas, Matthew Venegas, Oswaldo Venegas, Jr., Anthony Venegas, Steven Venegas, Alicia Venegas, Brian Venegas, Tito Venegas III and Willy Venegas; his seven brothers and sisters, Carlos Venegas, Avelina Venegas, Jaime Venegas, Jorge Venegas, Ester Venegas, Richard Venegas and Olinda Venegas and Tito’s many neighbors and friends.
Tito was the guiding light for his family that has now been extinguished. May the family be comforted with the memories that they hold in their hearts as they go forward without him. Tito will be deeply missed, but he will never be forgotten.
