Tiffany Massey-Kimbrough Obituary

Life began for Tiffany Chante Massey on Sunday, January 24, 1971, in Elizabeth, NJ to Gail Marie Mason & the late Roland Frank Massey.  Tiffany departed this life and entered eternity on Sunday, December 26, 2021, after a heroic battle with cancer.  She was educated in the Linden Public School District, attended North Carolina A&T University, and ultimately graduated Cum Laude from Kean University with her Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science.  Tiffany was raised to love God and value education and family.  In fact, her heart belonged to her late grandmother (Marian Mason), who was also very instrumental in helping to raise her.

Tiffany started her career at Union County Division of Social Services in Elizabeth, NJ as a Case Worker for over ten years and later transitioned into education, with the Linden Public School District.  She joined the Even Start Family Literacy program as a Community Resource Coordinator, where she had a significant impact on the parents, teen parents and children.  Given her love for educating children, Tiffany also had roles as the Linden School Number 5 PTA Treasurer and as a substitute teacher at various schools – she had the biggest heart to serve and educate our youth.  When Tiffany was not in the physical classroom, she was in the “kitchen classroom,” as a Pampered Chef consultant, where she enjoyed planning cooking parties for her friends and clients.

Through life’s journey, Tiffany met the love of her life Mutta Kimbrough and they were blessed with four wonderful sons:  Wassin, Amir, and twins Zaire and Zion.  They created countless memories together, which include family trips to the Poconos cabin, special birthday trips on cruises and to Mexico, attending Broadway plays in New York, organizing backyard BBQs with family and friends, and of course enjoying Tiffany’s favorite pastime….eating crabs, which she started at age three sitting in the high chair.  Tiffany’s favorite holiday was Christmas and she was known for elaborate, themed Christmas trees, matching family PJs, and custom wrapped gifts….so it’s no surprise that God called her home during her favorite time of the year.

Tiffany also created countless memories with her friends and extended family – she never met a stranger and was always the life of the party.  In fact, she loved entertaining at her home and made sure “every detail” was perfect.  For example, each July, Tiffany and her cousins celebrated “Cousin’s Day” as a way to recognize and celebrate their bond.  This year, Tiffany organized an amazing “Paint & Praise” event for Cousin’s Day, which her family will cherish forever because of how Tiffany honored them.  Tiffany will be most remembered for her love of all things purple, passion, beautiful smile (dimples), bubbly personality, determination, standing her ground, speaking her mind, being a social media queen, and her “Tiffany-isms.”  Most importantly, Tiffany knew the Lord and was a member of Agape Family Worship Center in Rahway, NJ.

Tiffany was preceded in death by her father, Roland Frank Massey; grandparents, Marian & Louis Mason and Tommie & Arthur Massey; and special aunt, Marilyn Brown.  Leaving to cherish loving and lasting memories are her mother, Gail Mason-Massey; husband, Mutta Kimbrough; four sons, Wassin, Amir, Zaire, and Zion; stepdaughter, Kaia Kimbrough; brother, Addim Massey (Camille); sister-cousin, Nicole Brown; brother-cousin, Tracy Brown; niece, Ysan Massey; nephew, Kiran Massey; “The Massey Strong” clan of Great-Aunts; Aunt Nanette Enebulele; Uncle Ronald Massey (Trina); Uncle Kelvin Mason (Rosetta); special sister-in-law’s Qamar Kimbrough (Eric) and Jetaya Kimbrough; godchildren Alexsys Smith and Jeffrey Green; and a host of other cousins, in-laws, and friends.

Friends and family are invited to gather for a memorial service celebrating Tiffany's life at the Agape Family Worship Center, 501 E. Hazelwood Ave, Rahway, NJ, 07065 at 11:00AM on Thursday, January 6th, 2022. There will be a pre-service fellowship with the family starting at 10:30AM. A repast lunch will follow immediately after the conclusion of the memorial service, which will be held at the Grand Banquet Hall, 12 N. Stiles Street, Linden, NJ, 07036. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to a GoFundMe collection, which will serve as an education fund for Tiffany's boys.
