Thomas L. Kondracki, 99, of Linden, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway, New Jersey, surrounded by the love of his family.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden, NJ on Sunday, August 22nd. from 4:00 - 8:00PM. On Monday, August 23rd. from 9:30-10:00AM, everyone will gather in the funeral home where a prayer service will be held at 10:00AM, followed by the funeral mass to be offered in the St. Theresa of the Child Jesus R.C. Church, Linden at 11:00AM. The prayers of committal will precede his burial in the family plot in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Thomas’s memory for masses at a church of your choice.
Mr. Kondracki was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, on September 7, 1921 to Anna Fatula Kondracki and John Kondracki and the family lived in Elizabeth for approximately 10 years before moving to Linden, New Jersey, where Thomas would call “home” for his entire life. Mr. Kondracki was very proud of the fact that he was a long-time resident of Linden for 89 Years.
Mr. Kondracki worked as a machine operator for Singer Manufacturing Company, in Elizabeth, New Jersey for almost 36 years prior to his retirement in 1980.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II.
Mr. Kondracki was a member of the Linden Men’s Club, and during his younger years he enjoyed bowling, painting, and drawing.
Predeceased by his parents John and Anna, and his loving wife of fifty years Theresa M. Skladanek Kondracki, Mr. Kondracki is survived by his four caring children, Thomas Kondracki, Robert Kondracki and his wife, Theresa, Joyce Mayeresky, Arlene Paterek and her husband, Robert; his brother, Theodore Kondracki and his wife, Marion; his four grandchildren Ashley Kondracki and her fiancé Meridoc Burkhardt, Allyson Paterek, Kathryn Paterek, Daniel Kondracki and his wife Ashley Bispo and his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Mr. Kondracki will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
