Mr. Tadeusz S. Zamorski, loving known as “Ted or Teddy” to his family and friends, entered the Eternal Kingdom guided by the Lord’s Angels on Sunday March 22, 2026.
We respectfully request that no one arrive at the funeral home prior to the posted visitation times, so as not to intrude on the family’s private time.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Friday, March 27th. from 10:30AM to 12:30PM. Following the visitation the U.S. Army Military Honors detail and the prayers of committal will precede Ted’s burial in the family plot in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ted’s memory can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 or online at Wounded Warrior Project
Ted was one of eleven children of the late Helena Fortuna Zamorski and the late Kajetan Zamorski. He was born and raised in Linden and then moved to Rahway, where he resided until his death.
Ted proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II where he attained the rank of Sergeant in Company C, 333rd Infantry Regiment, 84th. Division and he was a holder of the Bronze Star, along with other medals, decorations and citations. Coming back home after the war, Ted began his lifelong career as a lab technician at Standard Oil in Linden, which later became Exxon Corp. and is now known as ExxonMobile. Ted was fortunate to take his well-deserved and well-earned retirement in the late 1980’s.
Ted married the love of his life, Patricia A. Schlagenhaft Zamorski, on June 3, 1961. Together they bult an amazing life focusing on their family values and traditions. Ted was a kind gentleman with a quick wit, a “good man” and most certainly a devoted husband and father. Even after he lost Patricia in 1995, Ted frequently visited her burial site to spend time, plant flowers or simply to “talk” with Patricia. It gave him a complete sense of inner peace. Ted loved all children and he was an amazing father and grandfather and along the way he nurtured a “second family” which consisted of his neighbors. An avid reader, Ted enjoyed mostly mysteries and historical fiction, and he made sure to pack a good book or two in his suitcase to compliment his time traveling to all sorts of destinations, but especially to the Caribbean.
On January 26, 2026, family and friends gathered to wish Ted “StoLat”, as he celebrated his 100th. birthday. It was a huge celebration of a selfless family man who even at that age, knew everything that was happening with and in his family and the world around him and Ted still maintained a jest for life and an independence of living.
For Ted, the 100 years were full of blessings, but he most certainly had his share of losses – first and foremost, his beloved wife, Patricia. Over the years Teddy also lost all his brothers and sisters, Stanislaw Zamorski, Baby Tadeusz Zamorski, Rozalia (Rose) Filipski, Augustina (Olga) Obara, Grace Zamorski, Kazimiera Zamorski, Joseph Zamorski, “the twins”- Florence Pentol and Helen L. Banko and Henry (Bucky) Zamorski. Ted had become the “last man standing” of all his siblings. Just think about the party that must be happening now, as they were all there to welcome Ted with open arms, with the band playing polka music as the couples twirl around the dance floor and food and beverages filling the tables. A “homecoming” indeed!
Thanking the Lord for the wonderful life given to Ted and the many years they were able to make lasting memories is his son; Thomas T. Zamorski and his wife, Joanne, his grandson; Alexander T. Zamorski and his wife, Brenna; a multitude of nieces and nephews, both first and second generations and of course, Ted’s neighbors.
After 100 years of life, love, sorrow and setbacks, Ted is together again with all those he loved and lost. His son, Tom, knows how fortunate he and his dad were to enjoy each other until just the last few weeks of Ted’s life. No one could ask for anything more. Ted indeed was the center of life for his family, and he had an abundance of love for everyone in his circle. He will be deeply missed, but Ted will never be forgotten. May Ted now have Eternal Rest with his Lord and Savior.
