Mr. Steven Paserba, 96, entered the eternal kingdom on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.
We respectfully request that no one arrive at the funeral home prior to the posted visitation times, so as not to intrude on the family’s private time.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Tuesday, December 10th from 4:00-7:00PM. The representatives of the US Army will present the military honors detail in the funeral home at 6:00PM. The burial in Steve’s family plot in Rosehill Cemetery in Linden will be private.
Steve, the son of the late Mary Doklia Paserba and the late Tedor Paserba was born and raised in Linden, New Jersey where he resided for most of his life. In 2017 Steve relocated to Lakewood before settling in Brick Township.
A laboratory technician for General Aniline & Films (GAF) Corporation in Linden, Steve would often joke that he was there for forty-five years plus 9 months before he took his well-earned retirement in 1993.
A veteran of the Korean War, Steve proudly served in the US. Army.
Steve was one of six children and unfortunately he experienced all his brothers and sisters predeceased him. Together, they made up a wonderful family, raucous at times, but always supportive and loving of each other. With this loss Steve now completes the circle of those who went before him – his three brothers, Walter Paserba, George Paserba and Leo Paserba and his two sisters, Anna Petraitis and Helen Babich.
Steve is survived by his sister-in-law, Anita Paserba and Steve’s many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
It is never easy to witness the loss of your parents, your brothers and sisters and to know that you became the last of that generational line. Steve will always be remembered for his sharp wit, his short answers and his love for his family.
May he rest in Eternal Peace.
