Ms. Stephanie Magierowski, 92, entered the loving arms of her God on Sunday, April 27, 2025, guided by His heavenly hosts of angels.
We respectfully request that no one arrive at the funeral home prior to the posted visitation times, so as not to intrude on the family’s private time.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Thursday May 1st. from 4:00-8:00PM. On Friday, May 2nd. at 8:15AM, everyone will start to gather in the funeral home where a prayer service will begin at 8:45AM, followed by the funeral mass to be offered in St. Hedwig Roman Catholic Church in Elizabeth at 10:00AM. The prayers of the committal will precede Stephanie’s burial in the family plot in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Linden, New Jersey.
Stephanie, the daughter of the late Catherine Dobrowolski Magierowski and the late Felix Magierowski, was born and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey where she resided her entire life.
She enjoyed a long career at Schering-Plough Corp. in Kenilworth, NJ where Stephanie wore many hats, including being a line worker overseeing the mixing and bottling of pharmaceuticals, as well as giving guided tours of the large facility to a variety of visitors.
She thrived with a life full of outside activities and interests. Stephanie had a deep faith, and she was a lifelong communicant of her neighborhood church - St. Hedwig Roman Catholic Church. She was blessed with not only one, but two green thumbs. Stephanie spent countless hours in her garden growing magnificent flowers, including her favorite roses. She also grew an abundant number of vegetables that she generously shared with her neighbors and friends, but most definitely became part of her personal everyday meals. Stephanie was a fabulous cook & of course, you know that her specialty dishes were all those from her Polish heritage, including pierogi, kielbasa and golumpki. No one ever left Stephanie’s home hungry! She was also a true “Jersey Girl’ at heart and sunshine and beautiful weather would lead her to travel down the shore, enjoying her special place - Bayville. For Stephanie, the warmth of the sun with her toes in the sand, smelling the saltiness of the ocean as the waves crashed on the beach brought her inner peace and rest . Beyond all of this, Stephanie was a loving Mom. Her daughter and her family meant the world to her. They forever brought joy to her heart, a smile to her lips and a special light shining in her eyes…….nothing else could really compare…
Stephanie is survived by her daughter, Elaine Lubas and her husband, Robert Brotman; her grandson, Stephen R. Lubas and his wife, Christina; her great grandson, Ender Grey Lubas; her sister, Josephine Mularz; her brother, Edward Magierowski and her many nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.
We know that the Lord granted Stephanie a life full of blessings and love, sprinkled with the pain of personal losses. Her legacy shows us the importance of family, faith and perseverance with grace and dignity. As we mourn the loss of Stephanie, may we rejoice that she is now reunited with all those who went before her and were there to welcome her to her heavenly home with open arms. We will miss her tremendously, but Stephanie will never be forgotten and may she find eternal rest with our Lord and Savior.
