Sheila Roman Obituary

Sheila Roman, 86, of Linden, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of those closest to her on February 2, 2025 at Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains.

We respectfully request that no one arrive at the funeral home prior to the posted visitation times, so as not to intrude on the family’s private time. 

Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Wednesday, February 5th. from 10:30AM-12:00PM. A prayer Service will begin at approximately 11:30AM, before traveling to Mt. Lebabnon Cemetery, 189 Gill Lane, Woodbridge, NJ, 08830 for the final prayers of interment.

Sheila was born on May 12, 1938 in Elizabeth, NJ to parents Irving and Anne (Klein) Davis. She was a long time resident of Linden, and was very involved in the community. Sheila was involved with the Linden School District as a Treasurer for many years, and was also active with the Boy Scouts Troop #149 as their Treasurer as well. She always enjoyed working, and throughout her life was known as a hard worker.

Sheila worked for Jasco Tile for 20 years, and then Cusumano Perma-Rail for over 40 years, before retiring around 2018. She also belonged to many social and political clubs and organizations. In her spare time, Sheila enjoyed beach trips down the shore, gardening her “Jersey Tomatoes,” and spending time with friends. Above all else Sheila was known as a loving mother and grandmother, and truly took those roles to heart. She cared deeply for her family and was always known as loyal and loving. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Sheila is predeceased by her parents Irving and Anne Davis, and her sister Lois. She is survived by her loving sons Todd Roman, his wife Kathy, and their children John, James, Christopher, and Sean, and Gregg Roman, his wife Marie, and their children Jennifer, and her husband Bruno, and Joseph, her longtime companion of many years Ed Katz, and many other extended family and friends.

Loved by many, Sheila’s memory will be a happy one; may she rest in eternal peace.
