Private services will be held for Mr. Salvatore V. Marone, 78, who died at home under the watchful eyes of the Caring Hospice of Edison and surrounded by the love and prayers of his wife and his sister.
Mr. Marone, the son of the late Mary Giangrasso Marone and the late Frank J. Marone, was born in Montclair, New Jersey. He resided in Union, New Jersey for thirty years prior to settling in Linden, New Jersey nineteen years ago.
Mr. Marone worked in sales for various companies within the metals industry for over forty years and he retired fifteen years ago.
In his earlier years, Mr. Marone had served in the National Guard. His spare time was filled with his love of playing chess.
Predeceased by his brother, Frank J. Marone and his two sisters, Elsie Cardillo and Patricia Marone,
Mr. Marone is survived by his devoted wife of forty-four years, Maureen Marone; his loving sister, Marylou Russo; his treasured nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
