Richard Andrian Obituary

Richard Gregory Andrian, of Jackson NJ, was born on September 8, 1951 and was welcomed into Heaven on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at the age of 70.  He left this world peacefully, surrounded by his wife Kathleen Andrian, son Michael Schaefer, daughter Theresa Merola and son-in-law Joseph Merola. He also leaves behind other loving family members: his sister Deborah Tyler and husband Thomas, brother Nicholas Andrian and wife Alane, Aunt June Andrian, Aunt Joan Casale, grandsons Joseph Roselli and wife Tiffany, Justin Roselli and Alexander Roselli,  great grandchildren Jason and Evelyn Roselli, as well as his nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Alexander and Marie Andrian.
Richard was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, nephew, uncle and friend. He adored his family and could often be heard talking about how proud he was of each and every one of them. He also had a heart for animals, and had a faithful companion in his dog Sadie as well as much time spent time caring for cats who had been abandoned by others. He loved Elvis Presley music, Errol Flynn movies, as well as many other classics. He loved walks in the park with his wife and dog and soaking up the sun. Most of all Richard loved his family and protected them fiercely.
Richard grew up in the Parkway Pines neighborhood of Brick Township, were he worked along side his father Al and mother Marie, in the family businesses. Parkway Pizza was the start of the family businesses, but Richard and Al's entrepreneurial spirits lead them to open a number of other business, such as Rare Coins and Ancients, Parkway Video and A&W Firewood. At one time they even opened a small arcade that became a memorable hangout for many of the Parkway Pines youth.  Later Richard worked for the Jackson School district, which he retired from in 2020.  Richard work part time for Ivy Acres, along side his wife Kathy, at the time of his departing.
Richard leaves a legacy of love for family, hard work and making everyone he met feel important. His presence will always be with us.  He left this earth to early for those that loved him, but just in time for those waiting to welcome him to his eternal home.
