Ramon Cruz Rivera

Mr. Ramon Cruz Rivera, 73, entered his eternal life on Friday, April 11, 2025.

In accordance with his family’s wishes, all the funeral services will be private including his burial in the family plot in Rosehill Cemetery in Linden.

Ramon, the son of the late Felipa Rivera and the late Carlos Juan Cruz was born in Aibonito, Puerto Rico.  He came to the mainland United States over thirty years ago and he has been residing in Elizabeth, New Jersey for the past twenty-five years.

Ramon’s career included a dual position where he delivered food staples and products to the various facilities of the Newark Liberty International Airport, at which point he was involved in the actual food preparation while on site.

In his free time, Ramon loved to travel to different countries like Colombia but also visit family and friends whenever he could, both in Puerto Rico and Delaware.  His retirement treat was a daily visit the local bakery, meeting up with a group of his buddies and sitting around, enjoying coffee & a sugary delicacy, talking about anything & everything.  It was a great way to pass the time, but also to socialize with good friends.

Ramon is survived by his five children, Carlos Cruz, Jessica Cruz, Jezabeth Lorian Marie Cruz, Jessica Cruz and Jasmine Arriaza Cruz; his three brothers, Carlos Manuel Cruz Rivera, Luis Antonio Cruz Rivera and Juan Carlos Cruz Rivera and Ramon’s neighbors and friends, both locally and in Puerto Rico.

May Ramon find blessed peace and rest as he enters the Gates of Heaven.  We know that he was joyfully greeted with open arms by all those he loved and lost.  Ramon will be deeply missed, but he will never be forgotten.
