Paula, the daughter of the late Annie Holt Henderson and the late Charles Henderson was born in Manhattan, New York City, on October 29th., 1932. She lived in Elizabeth, New Jersey for several years prior to settling in Linden, New Jersey twenty-two years ago.
Paula was employed as a factory worker for twenty-five years by the Economy Color Card Co., Inc. in Elizabeth, where they manufactured dyed patches that were both in print and embroidered form and she earned her well-deserved retirement in 1994.
Paula met the love of her life, Clarence Miller, in 1966. They were married for 26 years until his passing in 1992.
Paula was an exceptional woman who loved fashion and she had an ear for music. She also loved being with her family and having them by her side, in that Paula raised her two nieces, Monique and Selena Henderson, as her own. Paula was well loved by her family and her friends, and she was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Paula was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence L. Miller, Sr., her daughter, Marva Turner, her mother and father, Annie and Charles and her three brothers Jack, Richard and Thomas.
Mrs. Paula Miller is survived by her three children, Terri Norville and her husband, Sherville, Deborah Thomas and her husband Sherman, with whom Paula made her home, and Clarence Miller, Jr and his wife Kerrie Anne, her son-in-law, George Turner; her three nieces, Tawanna, Monique and Selina; her seventeen grandchildren, her thirty great grandchildren and her five great-great grandchildren, her brother-in-law, Ernest Miller, her two sisters-in-law, Syliva Miller and Della Miller and her husband, Frank.
Paula leaves behind a legacy filled with love, respect, hard work, and tradition that we can only hope to live up to. She was a lady who was truly blessed and cared for everyone as if they were her own kin. Paula will be deeply missed, but we know that she will never be forgotten.
