Family and friends are invited to the visitation which will be held in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Thursday, October 8th. from 2:00-4:00PM only. Patti, the daughter of the late Jean Tarla Tokar and the late Peter Tokar was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, but was raised and spent her entire life in Linden, New Jersey.
She was employed as a customer services representative for DXP Enterprises, in Linden, New Jersey for fifteen years prior to her retirement in September of 2020.
Everyone was always happy to be around Patti and she was known to be the life of the party. Patti was a past president and past member of the Linden Ladies Democratic Club and a member of the Mi-Ladies Bowling League at Jersey Lanes in Linden for over twenty years. She was an avid reader, mostly of fiction and romance novels. Patti loved the Home Shopping Network (HSN) and usually her volume of purchases was for anyone other than herself. She was truly a giver. Patti had a deep devotion to her faith and her church. She also enjoyed spending her free time visiting the shore and going on mini vacations, especially to LBI. These may seem like very simple traits, but that’s what made Patti so special. When it came right down to it, the most important part of Patti’s life was the love that she had for her family and friends; a love that was never ending.
Patti is survived by her brother, Peter Tokar; her nephews, Corey Tokar and Brett Tokar and his wife, Gina; her uncle, Thomas Tarla and his wife, Diane and her two BFF’s, Dot and Ellie.
As per the regulations imposed through the State of New Jersey, there will now be a maximum of one hundred (100) people allowed in the funeral home at one time. Face protection is also required as per state regulations. We thank you for your understanding during this time of transition.
