Patricia K Kozak

Mrs. Patricia K. Kozak, 97, entered the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.

We respectfully request that no one arrive at the funeral home prior to the posted visitation times, so as not to intrude on the family’s private time. 

Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Monday, May 6th. from 8:15-9:45AM.  A prayer service will begin at 9:45AM, followed by the funeral mass to be offered in St. John the Apostle R.C. Church in Linden at 11:00AM.  The prayers of committal will precede Mrs. Kozak’s burial in the family plot in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Linden.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Patricia’s memory to your favorite charity.

Patricia, the daughter of the late Irene Czaplinski Kaminski and the late Andrew Kaminski was born and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey.  At the time of her marriage to Zenon J. Kozak, Patricia moved to Linden where she has lived since 1952.

Throughout her life, Patricia always wanted to be a businesswoman and in between life’s obligations, she would periodically go out into the working world enjoying it thoroughly.  She often mused that she wished she had learned how to work on a computer.  In her earlier years, she played Bridge with anyone and everyone that she could.  She was so adept that Patricia was considered an expert and she made a point of sharing and teaching her knowledge of the game.  In later years, her attention turned to Bingo, playing along with all her friends.  Patricia and her husband were frequent flyers in their car and bus rides to Atlantic City.  They enjoyed going down there for a day outing, playing the slots, having a bite to eat, or simply strolling the boards, taking in the salty air, light breezes, warm sand, and the churning ocean. Patricia’s personality encompassed a frankness will be missed by the people she knew and truly, once you got to know Patricia, she was really a terrific lady.  Patricia will be especially missed by her daughter, Sandy, who was her constant caretaker, especially over the last several years.

Predeceased by her husband, Zenon in 2018, Patricia is survived by her daughter, Sandra “Sandy” K. Darrar and her husband, Gary; her two sons, Frederic Z. Kozak and his wife, Susan, and Clifford J Kozak and his wife, Aydee.
