Ms. Nora S. Villacres, 67, entered the eternal kingdom on Sunday, December 7, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
We respectfully request that no one arrive at the funeral home prior to the posted visitation times, so as not to intrude on the family’s private time.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Thursday, December 11th. from 6:00-10:00PM, during which there will be a celebration of Nora’s life. On Friday, December 12th. at 10:00AM, everyone will start to gather in the funeral home where a prayer service will begin at 10:30AM, followed by the final farewell and the formation of the traditional funeral procession. The prayers of committal will precede Nora’s burial in the family plot in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.
Nora, the daughter of Luis and Maria Villacres was born in Medellin, Colombia. She came to the United States in 1965 and lived in Hoboken, NJ, Jackson Heights, Queens, NY and Roselle Park, NJ before settling in Elizabeth, NJ in 2013.
Nora was a self-employed property manager of both residential and commercial real estate for a number of years. She seemed to shine in this role, as she enjoyed talking and getting to know people from all walks of life. Her faith was deeply engrained in her character, and it was so prevalent in her everyday life, that she loved to preach and spread the word. In her free time, Nora was a devotee of watching her beloved tele novellas. The beach, especially Cancun, Mexico, was vital for her inner peace given the serenity of the sun, water and the sand. Nora could simply sit there for hours appreciating the beauty of nature. Above all, the greatest joy in Nora’s life came from spending time with her family. Truly, it didn’t matter if they were simply sitting around watching the television, gathered for a holiday dinner or celebrating a family member’s special day. However, if dining out was involved with their gathering, that would be considered a plus in Nora’s book, as she loved to eat out.
Nora is survived by her mother, Maria Villacres; her three children, Sylvana Changuin, Charles Changuin and Keziah Changuin; her three brothers, Huigra Villacres, Jeffrey Villacres and William Villacres; her three grandchildren and Nora’s friends, church family and neighbors.
Nora’s light that shone so brightly has now dimmed. Her legacy will continue with all the love and life teachings instilled in her children, Sylvana, Charles and Keziah. Although Nora will be deeply missed, she will forever remain in our hearts and our prayers.
