Mr. Miguel Rodriguez, 57, entered the arms of the Lord unexpectedly on Friday, January 12, 2024.
We respectfully request that no one arrive at the funeral home prior to the posted visitation times, so as not to intrude on the family’s private time.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Wednesday, January 17th. from 5:00-7:00PM. The cremation in Rosehill Crematory, Linden will be private. The family has requested that you please omit flowers. Because Miguel loved balloons, you may bring balloons of different sizes, shapes, and colors to be displayed at the visitation and/or make a donation to the family’s gofund.me account at https://gofund.me/c9dOae96
Miguel, the son of the late Lydia Gonzalez and the late Miguel A. Rodriguez, was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He spent his childhood growing up in Jersey City, New Jersey. During Miguel’s early married life, he lived in Staten Island, New York and then finally settled twenty-five years ago in Roselle, New Jersey.
Miguel was employed as a driver for UPS, based in Secaucus, New Jersey for the past fifteen years.
In his free time, he enjoyed traveling, always taking selfies of himself during all parts of his excursions and experiences. Miguel loved sports and he was a diehard Buffalo Bills football fan and a New York Yankee fan for life. However, the most important part of Miguel’s life was his family. He loved spending time with them, whether it be celebrating a big occasion, being in a party atmosphere or simply sitting in the back yard, telling stories, and sharing memories. This gave Miguel the greatest joy and nothing was sweeter in his daily life!
Predeceased by his wife, Maira Sanchez Rodriguez on January 3, 2014, Miguel is survived by his son, Miguel Rodriguez, Jr.; his daughter, Serena M. Rodriguez; his brother and sisters, Alex, Wanda, Sandra and Lydia; his nephews and nieces, Victor, Herman, Anthony, Mariano, Christina, Neruda and BJ and his many neighbors, friends and co-workers.
Miguel was the shining light of his family. Their hearts are broken, and tears fill their eyes with his loss. Please pray for this family as they try to pick up the shattered pieces of their lives, forever altered by the deaths of both Maira and now Miguel. May they both rest in peace together as they now become the guardian angels for the family.
