Mr. Matthew J. Mularz, Jr., 66, died Wednesday, March 4, 2020 in the Newton Memorial Hospital in Newton, New Jersey.
In respect of Matthew’s wishes, he was privately cremated in Rosehill Crematory in Linden, New Jersey.
Family and friends are invited to the memorial visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Monday, March 9th. from 4:00-8:00PM. On Tuesday, March 10th. at 9:45AM, everyone will gather directly at the St. Theresa of the Child Jesus R.C. Church, Linden where a memorial funeral mass will be offered at 10:00AM. The prayers of committal will precede the burial of Matthew’s cremains in the family plot in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Linden, New Jersey.

Matthew, the son of the late Martha Siwik Mularz (2012) and the late Matthew Mularz, Sr. (1982), was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey and he lived in Linden, New Jersey until 1991. Matthew then relocated to North Plainfield, New Jersey from 1991 to 2007 when he moved again, this time to Trenton, New Jersey. In 2007, Matthew finally settled in Andover, New Jersey where he resided until the time of his death.
Matthew enjoyed playing the accordion and he was a tremendous fan of the New York Mets baseball team. However, he received the most joy in his life, by simply spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Matthew was also predeceased by his two brother, Paul Mularz (2012) and Robert Mularz (1978).
Matthew is survived by his sister, Stella Otterstedt and her husband, Chris; his nieces and nephews and his great nieces and great nephews.
