Mr. Mark Tarnawski, 43, broke the hearts of his family and friends when he unexpectedly entered the arms of the Lord, escorted by His heavenly angels on Thursday, July 18, 2024.
We respectfully request that no one arrive at the funeral home prior to the posted visitation times, so as not to intrude on the family’s private time.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Wednesday, July 24th. from 5:00-8:00PM. On Thursday, July 25th. at 9:45AM, everyone will start to gather directly at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Linden where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00AM. Immediately after the mass, the prayers of committal for Mark will be offered in the chapel of Rosehill Crematory on the grounds of Rosehill Cemetery in Linden. The cremation as well as the inurnment of Mark’s cremated remains in his niche in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Linden will be private.
Although Mark was born in Elizabeth, he grew up in Linden where he lived for most of his youth. In his adult years, Mark resided in Colonia for seventeen years prior to returning to Linden a year ago.
Mark’s employment career spanned over twenty-four years with NJ Transit Rail, based in Raritan, and he currently holds the position of mechanical supervisor.
Predeceased by his father, Aleksander Tarnawski in 1987, Mark is survived by his mother, Joanna Moskal Tarnawski; his two children, Damian Tarnawski and Mason Tarnawski; his two brothers, Andrzej “Andy” Tarnawski and his wife, Ewa and Paul Tarnawski and his wife, Agnieska; his sister, Teresa Law and her husband, Robert; his nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles, cousins, neighbors, coworkers and numerous friends.
We ask that you pray for Mark and his entire family, as they look for a path to mend their grief, dry their tears and give them all guidance on how to go forward in their daily lives without their beloved Mark. May he rest in Eternal Peace. Mark will be deeply missed, but he will never be forgotten.
