Mrs. Maria Cimerman Romanienko, 91, died Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at the Whispering Knoll Assisted Living in Edison, New Jersey.
Mrs. Romanienko, the daughter of the late Anna Cimerman and the late Jan Cimerman, was born in Korolowka, Poland. During World War II, she was moved with her family from Poland to Siberia and finally to East Africa. After the war, Mrs. Romanienko settled in England with her mother and her sister until 1958, when she immigrated to the United States. She lived in Linden, New Jersey for thirty-three years and upon her retirement, she went to South Daytona, Florida where she resided for twenty-three years. Mrs. Romanienko then returned to New Jersey and she has been living in Edison, New Jersey since 2014.
Mrs. Romanienko was a bank teller for City Federal Savings Bank in Linden, New Jersey for twelve years prior to her retirement in 1991.
She loved spending time with her son, Peter and his wife, Victoria. Mrs. Romanienko especially cherished all the memories she made and shared with her only grandson, Preston, whom she adored. Predeceased by her husband, Peter Romanienko on April 16, 2010, Mrs. Romanienko is survived by her son, Peter Romanienko and his wife, Victoria; her daughter, Lisa Romanienko and her grandson, Preston Romanienko
