When her daughter, Victoria started high school, Maria then became an ROTC mom and helped the ROTC with all their fundraising events and activities, including the ROTC Dr. Martin Luther King banquet nights. As if Maria did not have enough on her plate, she was the treasurer of the PTA and the 5th. grade chairperson, all at School #1 in Linden. Maria also helped with the events and activities of her daughter’s Linden travel cheer team, “The Challengers”.
Predeceased by her brother, Joseph “Joey” Angelo Failla on November 5, 2020, Maria is survived by her husband, Brian Ferretti; her three children, Victoria Ferretti, Isabella Ferretti and Filippo Ferretti; her mother, Francesca Galleta Failla; her two sisters, Valentina Failla and her husband, Theodore Rigas and Simona Page and her husband, Matthew; her family in Sicily, including her grandmother, aunts, uncles and cousins and her many friends in Linden.
