Maria, the daughter of Francesca Galleta Failla and the late Filippo Failla (October 20, 1997) was born in Caltanissetta, Sicilia, Italia.  She came to the United States of America on March 1, 1987 and has been living in Linden, New Jersey ever since.

Maria was a 1996 graduate of Linden High School, where she had been a member of the Drill Team, as well as, participating in the NJROTC program.

Once Maria married and had children, she simply devoted her entire being to them and spent all her time being involved with their respective schools and the accompanying functions and fundraisers.  When her daughter, Victoria started high school, Maria then became an ROTC mom and helped the ROTC with all their fundraising events and activities, including the ROTC Dr. Martin Luther King banquet nights.  As if Maria did not have enough on her plate, she was the treasurer of the PTA and the 5th. grade chairperson, all at School #1 in Linden.  Maria also helped with the events and activities of her daughter’s Linden travel cheer team, “The Challengers”.

Predeceased by her brother, Joseph “Joey” Angelo Failla on November 5, 2020, Maria is survived by her husband, Brian Ferretti; her three children, Victoria Ferretti, Isabella Ferretti and Filippo Ferretti; her mother, Francesca Galleta Failla; her two sisters, Valentina Failla and her husband, Theodore Rigas and Simona Page and her husband, Matthew; her family in Sicily, including her grandmother, aunts, uncles and cousins and her many friends in Linden.

As per the regulations imposed through the State of New Jersey, there will now be a maximum of one hundred (100) people allowed in the funeral home at one time and face protection is required as per state regulations.  We thank you for your understanding during this time of transition.
