Marcola Gonzalez

Mrs. Marcola Gonzalez, 95, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden, NJ, 07036 on Friday, September 24th from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. Immediately following the visitation, a procession will travel to Rosehill Crematory, where the family will accompany Mrs. Gonzalez to the observation room at the crematory.

Mrs. Gonzalez was born on September 25th, 1925, in Isabela, Puerto Rico to Juan Gonzalez-Velazques and Celestina (Jimenez) Gonzalez. She moved the United States in the 1950’s, settling in Manhattan, N.Y., where she raised her family, and remained most of her life. In recent years she relocated to live with her daughter, Elizabeth, to Carteret, N.J.  

Mrs. Gonzalez was fond of cooking and of course music and dancing. She had a very good sense of style and clothing. She always made sure to wear lipstick, and present herself with “her best foot forward.” She was extremely close to her family, and was known as “Abuelita,” and of course, who could forget her stuffed teddy bear, Pepito, who frequently accompanied her.

Mrs. Gonzalez was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband Marcial Gonzalez, her parents Juan Gonzalez-Velazques and Celestina (Jimenez) Gonzalez, and her son, Rafael Gonzalez. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Gonzalez Krimpuri, and her husband Narinder; her two grandchildren Crystal Krimpuri, and Surinder Krimpuri; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Although she will be greatly missed, she will never be forgotten.
