Ms. Loretta Rachel Randharry, known as Rita, entered into the Lords’ arms on August 21st, 2023.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Friday, September 1st from 4:00-8:00PM. On Saturday, September 2nd at 9:00AM, everyone will gather at the funeral home for a prayer service, which will begin at approximately 9:30AM. The prayers of the committal will precede Ms. Randharry’s burial in the family plot in Rosehill Cemetery, Linden, NJ.
Born on December 13, 1948 in East Berbice-Corentyne, Guyana, Loretta spent her childhood as the eldest of eight children. She was like a second mother to her brothers and sisters, as she always loved to cook and taking care of them
Loretta was the eldest child of Samuel John and Moondede. Loretta immigrated to the United States in 1975, where she lived in Brooklyn and worked as a seamstress in various places in Manhattan. She also loved to decorate and design.
Loretta was also deeply religious, She love all kinds of music, specifically country, and of course, gospel music.
Loretta loved her family and enjoyed every moment she had with them. She was truly a strong willed person within her family, and even though she mabe gone, she will be always remembered.
Loretta is predeceased by her parents, her brother Dennis, sister Diana, and a niece and nephew. She is survived by her siblings Helen Afandi, Reuel Compton, Rosemarie Ramdhari, Raymond Ramdhari and his wife Nalin, and Olivia Park, her 19 nieces and nephews, her 40 great nieces and nephews, her 2 great-great nieces and nephews, her cousins Yvonne, Rupert, Buddy, Roy, Mahesh, Andra, Pelham, Richard and many other extended family.
