Born in Rio Piedras Puerto Rico, Lizzette was the beloved daughter of Elizabeth Quinones and Luis Manuel Rivera. Mother, daughter, grandmother, wife, aunt, sister, coworker and friend, Lizzette was a blessed, empowered, strong, and motivated womyn. She held her faith close to her heart, spread her love wherever she went and enjoyed making memories with her loved ones.

Lizzette dedicated her life to education and her community for thirty-three amazing years, most of it at P.S.196 in the Bronx, NY. She began her career as a paraprofessional and through hard work and dedication inspired by her mom, she achieved her goal of becoming a principal. She inspired learners, educators, and families to greatness and endless possibilities. A lover of books; she made it her mission to inspire reading at any opportunity that she had.

"They say that you know somebody has a soul when they have the ability to make other people feel better about being alive. Lizzette Rivera Graciani had a rich soul!" CH

Lizzette absolutely loved music and dancing, an avid Yankee fan, had a love for teaching, and was always smiling. She loved interior decorating, the holidays, and emerging in experiences through travel, culture, and music. She was a womyn with a brilliant mind, inspired those around her to reach their fullest potential and made it a point to bring a smile to people’s faces. You will be remembered and honored for your strength, dedication, guidance, and love. We will truly miss you, continue to make you proud, and honor your legacy. Rest in peace Boss lady. Love you forever Mama.
