Leslie J ("Buz") Farrell, Jr.

Leslie J Farrell, fondly known as “Buz,” 86, of Linden, NJ, passed away peacefully at Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains.

***A REPAST CELEBRATING BUZ'S LIFE WILL BE HELD ON SUNDAY, JANUARY 8TH, 2023 FROM 1:00PM TO 5:00PM AT IL AMICI RISTORANTE, 1700 W. ELIZABETH AVE, LINDEN, NJ, 07036. 

Born on October 16, 1936, Buz was born as a twin to Leslie and Frances Farrell in their home in Linden. Growing up, Buz played baseball as a pitcher and was a fine young man. Buz worked as a Yardman for what is now known as Leaseway in Linden during his working years. He and his wife Suzanne were married on April 5th, 1971 and spent the next 51 beautiful years together. Buz was also a member of the Teamsters 469 in Hazlet, NJ. Buz was a hardworking man and a loving husband, and will be terribly missed by many, but never forgotten. 

Buz is predeceased by his brothers Edmund Farrell and his wife Ruth, Fred Farrell and his wife Pat, and his twin sister Frances Gross and her husband Hank. Buz leaves behind his loving wife Suzanne (Marceau) Farrell, his sisters Doris Smolyn and her late husband Steve, and June Derose and her late husband Gerry, his brother-in-law Adrien Marceau and his wife Kathy, sister-in-laws Marie-Claire and Gisele, family in Canada, many nieces and nephews in both Canada and the United States, extended family and friends.

In respect to the families wishes, Buz’s cremation will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Center for Hope Hospice. (https://www.cfhh.org/donate.html)

A lunch repast will be held in Buz's honor at a later date to be determined.
