Kathleen "Kathy" Frances Huff

Ms. Kathleen “Kathy” Frances Huff, 66, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 16, 2021, in the St. Peter’s Healthcare System in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Kathy, the daughter of the late Sarah Ann Fulkinson Huff Markulin and the late Teddy Eugene Huff, was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.  She resided in many paces over the past 29 years, including South Amboy, New Jersey, Kirksville, Missouri and Sarasota, Florida before settling in North Brunswick, New Jersey two years ago.

Kathy was self-employed in the healthcare industry, working as a care giver for the elderly for most of her life.  She attempted retirement in 2009, but somehow found herself going back into this field, at least on a semi-retired basis, because she truly loved her job and the satisfaction that it gave her, helping her clients who needed her so much.

Kathy adored her cat, “Mr. Marsh”.  She also enjoyed playing games on her kindle, catching up with her neighbors and of course, engaging in some retail therapy/shopping with her sister, Marijane. 

Kathy was predeceased by her parents, her stepfather, Charles Markulin; her sister, Carol Poulsen; her brother, Teddy Huff, Jr. and the love of her life, Gerald Patterson (2007).

Kathy is survived by her two sisters, Marijane E. Rios and her husband, Juan and Sandy Jensen and her husband, Jimi; her nine nieces, Victoria Romanienko and her husband, Peter, Michele Gavron and her husband, Chris, Robyn Rios Stoll, Jennifer Rios, Donna Huff, Sandy Lakatos, Lona Minkler, Lona Marie Jensen and Ginger Vickery; her nephew, Lester Poulsen; her great nieces and great nephews that she enjoyed spending time with – Preston, CJ, Samantha and her son, Brayden, Kimberly and her son, JJ, Ashlynn and Kathy’s long time best friend, Claire Van Camp.

In respect of Kathy’s wishes, all her funeral services will be private.
