Kathleen Stec

Mrs. Kathleen “Kathy” Candelino Stec, 79 entered the heavenly kingdom of her Lord on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.

We respectfully request that no one arrive at the funeral home prior to the posted visitation times, so as not to intrude on the family’s private time. 

Family and friends are invited to the memorial visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Monday, August 11th. from 11:00AM-1:00PM.  The cremation in Rosehill Crematory, Linden and her future inurnment in the family niche in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia are both private services.

Kathy, the daughter of the late Catherine Mazza Candelino and the late Frank Candelino was born and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey.  In 1990, she moved to Phillipsburg, New Jersey where she resided for thirty years before relocating to Easton, Pennsylvania ten months ago.

In her early years, Kathy enjoyed her job as a beautician working for Sal’s Beauty Salon in Woodbridge, New Jersey.

Kathy was known for her love of cleaning, and it was often a joke among her family and friends that they would like to hire her services, because she was just so good at it.  Her true calling in life, however, was to be a wife and mother…..her family meant everything to her.  Kathy would go out of her way to make sure that they were well cared for, living in a happy home always surrounded by love.  There honestly was nothing more important to Kathy than being with her husband and children.  Any time spent with them, whether it was enjoying a big celebration or simply sitting around in the backyard were the most cherished memories of her life!

Kathy is survived by her husband of thirty-eight years, James “Jim” Stec; her daughter, Deana Centanni English and her husband, Tom; her son, Michael Centanni; her two brothers, Frank Candelino and his wife, Pat and John Candelino; her six grandchildren, Angelina English, Catarina English, Salvatore Centanni and his wife, Cydiene Freitas Centanni, Antoinette Centanni, Dominic Centanni and Francesca Centanni and Kathy’s wonderful extended family, neighbors and friends. 

The loss of Kathy leaves a great void in her family’s world.  Kathy was the center of life for them, and she had an abundance of love for everyone in her circle.  Let us come together and offer our support and love to Kathy’s family as they now struggle to navigate life without their beloved Kathy.  We know that she will be deeply missed, but Kathy will never be forgotten.
