Mr. Julio E. Naredo, 71, left his earthly home on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, surrounded by the love and care of his family.
Julio, the son of the late Rosa Aida Pozas and the late Jose Naredo, was born in Havana, Cuba. He came to the United States sixty years ago and resided in Union City, New Jersey prior to moving to West New York, New Jersey ten years ago.
In his younger years, Julio was a bank teller, but his gift for having a way with making easy conversations, even with strangers, led him into a career as a traveling salesman working in the wholesale trades for many years.
In his free time, Julio was a sports enthusiast, enjoying baseball but especially hockey, the Montreal Canadiens being his favorite team. His daily routine included reading the entire NY Post newspaper keeping up with current local & international events. In an interesting twist, most gentlemen really don’t enjoy shopping, but Julio felt right at home in Marshall’s, spending hours when he was there! In keeping with his love of being with and talking to people, Julio naturally enjoyed eating out. His palate ran the gamut from dishes prepared in the Cuban style that he grew up with to his favorite tuna sandwich from Tastee Sub Shop in Edison. He relished and appreciated it all!
Julio was predeceased by his wife, Felicitas Valdivia Naredo on June 23, 2000. He is survived by his daughter, Michel Naredo and his two grandchildren, Silas and Milo.
Julio’s world was his family and his love for them was so great that it was beyond words. His loss is heartbreaking, especially for his daughter, Michel and her family. They will use his love and the memories they have of Julio to help guide them in learning to live without Julio in their lives. He will undoubtedly be deeply missed, but Julio will never be forgotten.
The funeral services for Julio were private for the family only and he will have eternal rest alongside his wife and her parents in the family crypts in Holy Cross Burial Park & Mausoleum in Jamesburg, New Jersey.
